HTC ChaCha Philippines Price, Specs - FREE with Smart Data Plan 1000
If you want an HTC Android phone with form factor similar to a classic BlackBerry handset, then you might want to check out the rather cute HTC ChaCha --
Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, HTC ChaCha comes not just with a full QWERTY thumb-type keyboard but also a 2.6-inch capacitive touchscreen -- making messaging, updating Facebook and Twitter, and browsing the net easy and fast.
The phone also comes with cool multi-media features like a music player, image and video gallery, a 5 MegaPixel camera with autofocus and LED flash and a video recorder - albeit non-HD. As for connectivity, the phone supports Wifi, Bluetooth and 3G.
HTC ChaCha is now available in the Philippines. It's supposed to be exclusive to Smart as a free bundled handset with Data Plan 1000 although I've some stores, both online and in malls, selling it for around Php 14,000.
HTC has yet to send TP a unit to review. While we're waiting for it, you might want to be familiar with the phone's complete technical specifications:
