Asus Transformer Prime Philippines Price, Specs, Release Date, Features
As promised, here's another information our TP insider fed us last week.
According to him, Asus Philippines is ready to release Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime in the country anytime within this month, February 2012.
What's totally hot about Asus Transformer Prime - aside from the fact that it can transform into a laptop using a keyboard dock - is that it's one of the first devices to run the latest version of the Android operating system called Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a quad-core CPU featuring NVIDIA Tegra 3 chipset. This guarantees top-notch performance.
Lighter than both Apple iPad2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 sans the dock, Asus Transformer Prime is nonetheless feature-packed. The Wifi-only tablet, which comes in 32 GB and 64 GB variants, flaunts a 10.1 inch LED backlit Super IPS+ display with scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass touchscreen, an 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, a Full HD 1080p video recorder, and HDMI port, and Wifi and Bluetooth connectivity support. On the software side, users get Asus Launcher Android skin, TegraZone, MyCloud, @Vibe Music, and Asus WebStorage.
Asus Transformer Prime will be officially announced in the Philippines by the middle of this month. And I think it will hit store shelves by the end of February. As for the price tag, the TP Guesstimate is around Php 22,000 and Php 25,000 for the 32GB and 63GB Tablet-only versions, respectively, and Php 28,000 and Php 31,000 with the dock. TP Friends, kindly stay tuned for updates.
