LG G3 Officially Launched in the Philippines : 16GB Variant Price is Php 29,990, Php 33,990 for 32GB Variant
Just got home from the official media launch of LG G3 in the Philippines held at the grand Enderun Tent in McKinley Hill, Taguig City. The exciting event coincides with the Korean company's celebration for a very successful first half of the year highlighted by a significant market growth in the very competitive industry of mobile devices.
On a global scale, LG Mobile - according to the Korean electronics giant - is in the top three major players among all smartphone manufacturers. Locally, LG is steadily growing and is able to sustain its standing as the number two smartphone brand in the market -- in terms of "value" based on results from a third party international research firm.
"Since its global reveal in six cities—London, San Francisco, Singapore, Seoul, New York, and Istanbul—last May 28, the LG G3 is said to be hitting triple of the LG G2 sales last year," shared Mr. Lawrence Kim, Vice President of LG Philippines’ Mobile Division. "And that was only since five weeks ago. Now that the LG G3 has arrived in the Philippines, we are ready to maximize the market share of the premium mobile user segment, especially with all the industry-leading features and game-changing innovations it encompasses."
Last year, Mobile World Congress’ Most Innovative Manufacturer of the Year LG Electronics blew away the entire global smartphone scene with its flagship LG G2. It was hailed “Best Smartphone in the World”, “New King of Android”, and “Smartphone of the Year” by numerous local and international tech blogs, publications, and websites.
Just a few hours ago, LG introduced to the Philippines its highly-anticipated successor -- the LG G3. Launched globally last May 28, the G3 has managed to surpass everyone’s expectations for something even more spectacular than last year’s superstar.
With its key message ‘Simple is the New Smart’, the LG Mobile’s newest flagship combines the best of what LG’s current technology has to offer with a much simpler user experience.
World-class Design, Display, and Camera
The LG G3 already received many praises for its highly enhanced and posh exterior, designed for a premium look and feel. Its sleek metallic body was made lightweight and convenient to carry around. The signature Rear Key first introduced in the LG G2 has become more refined and blended seamlessly into the G3, while a new Floating Arc shape comes to play, making the sides slimmer and allowing an easy one-hand control.
A trailblazer in display technology, LG G3 ups its game with its breathtaking Quad HD. With a pixel density of 538ppi, the G3’s Quad HD display sets new viewing standards, producing images that are even sharper and more vivid than Full HD displays. At 5.5-inches, LG G3 boasts of a screen ratio of 76.4 percent with thin bezels all around to maximize its eye-candy display.
The LG G3 adds to its supremacy an advanced 13 MegaPixel camera with a winning combination of Optical Image Stabilization Plus (OIS+) for exceptionally clear photos despite shaky hands and low-light settings, the world’s first Laser Auto Focus for fast and accurate auto-focusing, and Dual LED Flash for vibrant images and professionally balanced colors. For an improved user experience, the Touch & Shoot feature on the display was implemented, along with the most unique and intuitive way of taking selfies -- by simply clenching your fist for the G3 to recognize and automatically shoot.
Even with optimal picture quality, sound quality is not compromised in the LG G3 as it has a built-in 1W speaker with Boost AMP for rich and clear tones, perfect for listening to music and shooting videos.
Simple is the New Smart
In addition to the advanced core technologies, LG offers simpler yet smarter user experience (UX) features not found in previous LG smartphones including:
The LG G3 is available in all LG dealers nationwide and offered in four vibrant colors, namely, Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, and Burgundy Red. Its 16GB variant is priced at Php 29,990, while the 32GB variant retails for Php 33,990, all on a cash transaction basis only.
Thankfully, LG G3's actual price tag came in far lower than our LG G3 Philippines Price Guesstimate, which we based on the handset's SRP in Europe. Initially, we thought the 16 GB version would sell for as high Php 33,000 while 32 GB version could go for Php 36,000. Thumbs up, LG! I think that just gave Pinoy gadget fans another reason to purchase this great smartphone.
