AMD Succumbs to Recession

Computing Industry giants don't share the same fate amidst the current world economic breakdown.

Just a few days after IBM and Apple announced hitting record profits for the 4th quarter of 2008, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) disclosed major losses for the same period.

AMD posted losses amounting to a whopping $1.4 Billion -- its 9th consecutive quarterly loss. Consequently, AMD stocks also plummeted to just $2.34 per share.

Last year, AMD posted $1.7 Billion in losses.
