Just in: CNET (previous link: news.cnet(dot)com/8301-17912_3-10151587-72.html?tag=TOCmoreStories) reported that Japanese Car-Maker, Toyota, is recalling 1.4 Million cars;
830,000 units are projected to come from North America, Europe and other regions in the world while 536,000 will come from Japan. Specific models cited in the recall include the Yaris, Belta (or Vios, here in the Philippines), and Ractis models assembled between January 2005 and April 2008.
The recall concerns the tensioner on seat belts that may melt or catch fire in some collision situations. On some models, there's also concern that the exhaust pipe will crack under extreme heat.
