Asus eeePC 1005HA and 1008HA SeaShell Range

Asus has just released 2 rather sexy netbooks, the 1005HA and 1008HA -- both belonging to the new eeePC SeaShell range.

Where the hell did they get the SeaShell range name?

It's simple really: Both netbooks have tapered edges similar to that of a SeaShell or your typical clam - giving the netbook a thinner, slimmer, sexier look reminiscent of the Macbook Air design.

Anyway, back to Tech. Here are the specs:

For 1005HA:
Intel Atom N270 or N280
1GB of DDR2 RAM,
160GB hard drive
10.1-inch LED-backlit display (1,024 x 600 resolution)
a 0.3 or 1.3 megapixel webcam,
VGA output,
802.11n WiFi,
Bluetooth 2.1,
three USB 2.0 sockets,
Ethernet,
a multicard reader
audio in / out.
Yet to the proven 10.5 hours battery life,
User replaceable battery
Windows XP Home,

For 1008HA:
Almost the same as 1005HA but it doesn't have user replaceable battery.
In fact, they look almost similar save for the hinges -- and of course, 1008HA is a tad slimmer.
