How to Duplicate Tabs in Firefox 3 and 3.5

Jenny Ramos from Quezon City DM'd TechPinas this question via Twitter a minute or so ago:
"TechPinas, why isn't there any available Duplicate Tab add on for Firefox 3.5? How do I duplicate tabs in Firefox 3.5? Help me, please."

Hi Jenny. Here's the answer:

There's no Duplicate Tab add-on for Firefox 3.5 because it is already BUILT-IN.

Now, how to duplicate tabs? It's very simple to do. Just follow these steps:

1. Hold down CTRL key (or CMD key in Macs)
2. Click on the tab you want to Duplicate
3. Drag the tab to any space beside it, until an arrow pointing down shows up.
4. Drop the duplicate tab in place.

Isn't that neat? :)

I hope you find this helpful. Thanks for the inquiry!

  2. This does not work (with either the control key or the command key) in Firefox 3.5.6 under Mac OS X 10.4.11. Is the Mac version of Firefox just buggy?

  3. It doesn't duplicate the tab. It merely changes its place to the one you chose.

  4. Agree, I can't duplicate, only change places.
