Dell Adamo XPS Revealed !! UPDATE: Specs, Demo Video, Price
Apparently, Dell is not yet satisfied with how thin the first Adamo laptop is. Revealing Dell Adamo XPS to US tech media, the company proves that it is determined to push the word "thin" - in a mobile computing setting - to its very boundaries.
We don't have word on the exact dimensions of the machine yet but just looking at the photos, Dell Adamo XPS could be thinner than Macbook Air.
Falling under XPS, Dell's gaming laptop line, I expect this new Adamo to be a powerhouse. I'm just not sure how Dell plans to squeeze that much power in such a small frame.
Stay tuned for price and release date.
UPDATE: Dell has just disclosed that Adamo XPS has a thickness of only 9.99mm -- half that of Macbook Air (18mm)
Update 2:
The specs are finally out:
1.4 and 1.9GHz dual-core Intel ULV processors
4GB of DDR3 RAM
128 or 180GB SSD (250GB and 500GB external drive option)
LED-backlit 13.4-inch WXGA screen
Integrated X4500MHD graphics
Wifi 802.11n
Optional Bluetooth
Webcam
And finally, a demo video (showing how the hinge works) courtesy of PCMagazineReviews:
NOTE: The touch sensitive latch doesn't work without power, which means that you can't open the laptop with a dead battery.
Price is a whopping $2,000 (Php 96,000) , more or less.
