LG to Bring Cutting Edge Air Conditioning Technology to Philippines !
LG Electronics, the global No. 1 brand in air conditioner for nine straight years, expects to increase its market share in the Philippines by offering the world’s most energy-efficient commercial air conditioner (Multi-V Plus III), as well as LG’s inverter split-type air conditioners with H1N1 (Swine Flu) filter.
LG’s new air conditioning technologies, showcased at the 12th International Heating, Ventilating, Air-Conditioning, Refrigerating, Filtration and Purification Technology Exhibition and Conference (HVAC/R Philippines 2009) on November 12-15, 2009 at SMX Convention Center, offer high reliability and high eco-design energy efficiency that reduce CO2 emissions.
"Launching our advanced MULTI-V Plus III commercial air conditioner and LG’s inverter technology split-type air conditioners into the Philippine market allows LG Electronics to keep more pioneering and encompassing approach to initiate environmental leadership in HVAC industry," said Charlie Borbe, business solutions head of LG Electronics Philippines.
Climate change has become one of the major challenges for mankind and the natural environment. CO2 emissions account for the greatest proportion of this problem. LG air conditioners’ CO2 emissions are controlled throughout their life cycle from design and manufacturing to usage and disposal. “Carbon footprint quantification, analysis and reduction are keys to preventing this, so we have 4 action plans to reduce CO2 emissions, which are eco-designs, high energy efficient products, natural refrigerant-use products, hybrid energy use products,” Borbe explained.
The new MULTI-V Plus III combines cutting-edge technology and eco-design to deliver innovative comfort solutions that meet the needs of a variety of commercial applications. These include the following: Cyclone Subcooling Interchange has 1,000 meter long piping design to reduce pipe pressure loss; Super Aero Fan creates low noise (5 dB reduction) and high static pressure (max. 8mmAq); BLDC Fan Motor cuts energy consumption by 35% compared to AC Fan Motor; Wide Louver and Gold Fin give the unit a longer life span by improving fin efficiency (23-28%) and high heat transfer; Optimized Cycle Control Technology allows continuous heating during defrost operation; and BLDC Inverter Scroll Compressor and Controller that give 10% and 47% higher energy efficiency than AC inverter compressor at 60Hz and 30Hz, respectively.
Meanwhile, the new Inverter Split-type Air Conditioner introduces an effective cooling device, as it effectively cools room temperatures on warmer days. This new air conditioning product uses compressor inverter technology that adjusts its cooling capacity to maintain a consistent temperature, increasing energy efficiency compared to conventional split air conditioners. This equates to great savings for its users.
This new model also creates a clean and relaxing environment through its advanced filtration system and lowest noise levels. This product features an H1N1 (Swine Flu) filter and multi-stage plasma filter that ensure a virus-free and healthy living environment. KITASATO Research Center of Environmental Sciences in Japan tested and certified that the H1N1 Filter was proven effective against Swine Flu.
Multi-V Plus III commercial and Inverter split-type air conditioners are also displayed in the LG Air Conditioning Academy in Pasig City.
A first in the Philippines, the state-of-the-art academy focuses on generating and fostering experts in residential and commercial air conditioning products. It has the capability to train hundreds of engineers, contractors and technicians each month.
