Kris Aquino vs. Ruffa Gutierrez Walk-out Tension on The Buzz - Hot on Twitter !
One of the most talked about topics on Twitter right now (aside from the Oscars results) is the rumored Ruffa Gutierrez Walk-out incident that happened last Sunday on The Buzz, the premiere Philippine showbiz magazine talkshow.
Here are a few comments by Pinoys on Twitter:
Here's what happened:
As it appears, during the POV segment of the show, Ruffa Gutierrez got upset with Kris Aquino after the latter made this remark on Ruffa's resignation from the show:
"Ruffa, aminin mo: Ibang level ang saya dito."
To which, Ruffa responded by saying, "[...] You don't have to rub it in, Kris [...]," and walking out of the show.
Watch this video of the Buzz's POV portion preceding the Ruffa Gutierrez walkout:
OK, I've seen it and I honestly feel that what Kris said was but a friendly banter that should have been answered with a simple, "I know. And it's sad that I'm leaving." But I also think that the tension between the two stretches far back even to the very first time Ruffa entered the show as the new host. This incident, in my opinion, simply served as a nasty icing on the cake.

UPDATE:
Meanwhile, Kris Aquino has issued an apology to the Gutierrez family:
"I would like to extend a loving hug to Ruffa. I viewed the tape and although I still feel I gave my comment with affection, maybe it made her feel even worse because she's now moving in a new direction. We had what I believed was a good working relationship in the almost 2 years we were together on The Buzz. To Ruffa, I sincerely apologize for causing you hurt."

I think Ruffa is over reacting!!!
ReplyDeleteI also felt that what happened in Ruffa's last episode in the Buzz, was just Ruffa's low tolerance towards Kris until finally it went down to the critical level in that episode. It may have also been an ongoing irritability towards Kris which evidently may have contributed to how Annabelle kept on reminding Ruffa that she should no longer put up with Kris' treatment , which in reality have be non-existent as to what Annabelle believed and wanted Ruffa to believe.

Kris was out of line. I know there is democracy but to a certain extent. Respect is still a necessary ingredient in a good work relationship especially in front of the public. You should not put your co host in a spot. I believe Ruffa was graceful enough to leave the show instead of pinning and embarrassing Kris back, too.
ReplyDeleteThey are both in a talk show. Nothing is scripted. Ruffa, therefore should learn how to be quick-witted, too. She may have the beauty but she lacks spontaneity and wit!
