ABS-CBN News Coverage of Elections 2010 To Use Augmented Reality and Giant Touchscreen Monitor for Better Reports
Perhaps to match the rather advanced PICOS technology that will be used in the country's first ever automated elections tomorrow, ABS-CBN has decided to likewise employ cutting-edge multimedia resources like Augmented Reality (AR) and a rather ginormous Touchscreen Monitor in its coverage of the national event.

Based on what we can see on the segment, AR will be used to show the real-time breakdown of votes for each candidate and to air election reports by ABS-CBN correspondents from across the archipelago. On the other hand, the 103" touchscreen monitor will be used to show updates from social media like Facebook and Twitter and reports from Bayan Mo, i-Patrol Mo Boto Patrollers.
Looks neat. I'm really looking forward to watching this coverage.
