HTC Desire HD aka HTC Ace - Specs, Price, Photos, Coming in September
Last Friday, popular tech bloggers in NA and Europe received this e-invite from HTC:
No other information was provided other than the mysterious teaser image above, leaving the door open for speculation on which handset HTC will launch at the September London meet. Luckily, a few techies took their time studying the e-invite graphic and spotted something familiar:
It's unmistakable. That's the back panel of rumored HTC Desire HD aka HTC Ace:
So it looks like the secret handset's cover has been blown.
As its very name suggests, HTC Desire HD will bring the HD update to the popular HTC Desire handset. This includes a more sizable 4.3-inch WVGA AMOLED capacitive screen reminiscent of EVO 4G's and an 8 MegaPixel camera with HD 720p video recording mode. Desire HD will run Android 2.2 Froyo with its powerful 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and support a wide-range of connectivity options including 3G HSDPA, Wifi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, EDGE and GPRS. The phone will come with 4GB of internal storage and expandable memory up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
No exact word on HTC Desire HD's price just yet -- although it's safe to speculate that will have a price tag similar to that of HTC Desire when it first came out, which is in the range of $620-$650. But that's just TP's guesstimate.
More about this phone soon. Please stay tuned for updates.
