Nokia N8 has been officially launched in the Philippines. The official suggested retail price of Nokia N8 is Php 23,699. The phone is also available via various postpaid plans by Smart Communications.


UPDATE as of October 1, 2010:
Nokia has begun shipping Nokia N8 in the United States. No word yet on exact release date in the Philippines (Very reliable source says it should be landing in the country in a few days) --




What's hot about Nokia N8?


Nokia N8 is the company's first 12-megapixel camera phone and the first handset - from any cellphone brand - to run on the new Symbian^3 mobile operating system. The handset packs a 3.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display and Carl Zeiss optics. As for connectivity options, N8 supports WiFi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1, and 10.2Mbps 3G HSDPA. Truly a multimedia device, Nokia N8 is capable of recording 720p 25 frames per second HD videos and comes with 16GB of internal memory, which is expandable via microSD card.

Availability and Pricing Details in the Philippines

We've recently received information from a very reliable source that Nokia N8 is expected to reach the Philippines come early part of Q4 2010 (around October?). No word yet on exact pricing -- but expect this bad boy to be priced like any other top-tier flagship release. We'll update this post as soon as more information about Nokia N8's launch in the Philippines surface.
