Cherry Mobile Nova Android Phone : Php 11,490 Only! Has 600 Mhz Qualcomm CPU, 3.2-Inch Multi-Touch Screen!

I'm gonna say it for the third time just so no one forgets,

Anyone who says that all Cherry Mobile phones are too 'pang-masa' or too low-end is either terribly old-fashioned, sadly delusional or is plain a bigot.

Well-crafted and elegant Cherry Mobile Nova - shown above - is just around Php 500 short of bagging the title "Cheapest Android Phone in the Philippines". When you think about it and knowing CM, the company could have easily lowered the phone's price point just to take home the moniker -- but for some reason, CM chose not to.

It's a brilliant strategy, I think. In my opinion, when you're already on Android, you'd want to be taken more seriously - if a bit.

Despite being just half a thousand bucks more expensive than the most affordable Android phone out in the market today, Cherry Mobile Nova can hold its own with some of the more expensive Android handsets recently released in Pinas. Its technical specifications easily belong to phones in a higher price category.

Php 11,490 Cherry Mobile Nova runs Android 2.1 Eclair with its 600 Mhz Qualcomm MSM 7227 CPU, 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM. The phone features a 320x480 pixels 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen that supports multi-touch gestures (pinch-zoom and the like), 5 MegaPixel camera with Autofocus and LED flash and microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB. Supported connectivity options include Wifi 802.11 b/g, 3G HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and A-GPS.

Again, we hope to have an immersive experience with this phone so we could give it the comprehensive review it deserves.

  3. I'd buy this phone except for one thing: I'm doubtful of its cam capabilities.

I bought a Cherry Mobile T85 touch-screen phone. I was (almost) happy with it...until I discovered its cam isn't good at taking pics at night nor its flash able to get good images if night time.

Late ito, but I'm wondering if anyone's bought it and especially tested its cam. I'm rather tempted to get this phone if not for that.
