HTC Desire : Complete Specifications Guide, Price in the Philippines, Availability
HTC Desire is now available in the Philippines. The official suggested retail price is Php 34,900 but if you're particularly good at gadget bargain hunting, you can get it for as low as Php 26 or 27k at some licensed retail outlets (if they haven't run out of stock, that is).
According to HTC, Desire is the best way to visually experience news, photos, favorite places, friend updates and everything else that is relevant to a user's life on a smartphone. Equipped with one of the most advanced displays available on a handset today - a 3.7-inch Ultra bright AMOLED display - and powered by 1 GHz Snapdragon chip, Flash-capable HTC Desire makes viewing content, online or otherwise, a wonderful experience.
Perfectly complimenting HTC Desire's Android 2.1 Eclair operating system is its HTC Sense UI. Sense is a user experience focused on putting people at the center by making smartphones work in a simpler and more natural way. This experience revolves around three core tenets - Make It Mine, Stay Close and Discover the Unexpected - which form the key to the new HTC Sense experience.
View Photos, Watch Videos, Enjoy Movies
Like what I said earlier, HTC Desire has a wide and vivid screen, which makes this phone a great device for viewing photos and watching homemade videos shot with the phone's 5 MegaPixel on-board camera with Flash that also happens to shoot WVGA (800x480 pixels) @ 15fps videos. Of course, with it, you can also watch the latest blockbuster flicks that you've loaded on your memory card.

Off hand, I think that - while it's not as handsome as HTC Legend - HTC Desire is an amazing handset, which is clearly worthy of likewise being called a flagship release.
Hopefully, HTC sends TP a unit to play with soon. I can't wait to give my full review of this multimedia powerhouse.
