Samsung Galaxy S Android 2.2 Froyo Firmware Update : Out Now!

Great news for all Samsung Galaxy S owners!

Samsung has officially started rolling out Android 2.2 Froyo update for all Samsung Galaxy S units.

UPDATE as of October 22, 2010 --
Samsung has decided to pull out Froyo update for Samsung Galaxy S perhaps due to bugs. Samsung UK twitted that updates will be done in early November instead.

Firmware update can be done via Samsung Kies. All you have to do is connect your phone to your computer, launch Samsung Kies and hit the Firmware Update button to see if you're among the lucky ones to be included in the first wave of updates. But if not, don't get too frustrated -- wider availability should come in a matter of days.

    checked earlier in the day. even updated my Kies.. really tempted to hack my way to the Asian Test firmware DXJP1 (downloaded it na) pero ill wait till nextweek. hopefully meron na..

    @zenkizenki :PDA:JF7 / PHONE:JF5 / CSC:SWC is a european firmware and it cant be upgraded to froyo. if you want to upgrade it to froyo ur sgs flash it with XXJF3 FIRMWARE and upgrade it by samsung kies and you will get the latest official froyo JPA firmware. it works for my sgs. when you ugrading tru samsung kies close all applications on ur computer only samsung kies open. hope this would help you. and to all sgs users u can even use this if you want.

    Finally, got my Samsung Galaxy S upgraded to Android 2.2 Froyo. anybody who got the same mobile phone can now access the upgrading through Kies. It's now available here in the Philippines.
