Just from looking at the specs sheet, it's clear that Samsung Galaxy Tab has a better processor and battery than Cherry Mobile Superion. There's no denying that. If Tab will outperform Superion in terms of speed and uptime, then it shouldn't come off as a surprise.

But the question I wanna ask is, "Is Tab's edge in these two departments (and perhaps in few other areas like brand image, maybe) enough to explain the roughly Php 15,000 price difference?" You tell me.

I haven't really played with Samsung Galaxy Tab yet and as such, I can't really say anything about its construction or feel in the hand. Is it plasticky? I don't know. Maybe you can turn to other tech blogs in the Philippines for information regarding that and let me know. Samsung actually showed the device to a few bloggers earlier today -- but I chose not to go to their lunch meet as I had to attend to other more important stuff.

What I'm very sure about though is that Cherry Mobile Superion's construction is nothing short of stellar. The case is a stunning combination of glass and metal; I'd say its design identity is highly reminiscent of that of iPhone 4. Superion feels incredibly solid in the hand, that I can promise you.
