Sony CyberShot TX9 with 1080p HD Video Capture : Official Specs, Price, Photos
In line with Sony Philippines' promise to deliver an extensive suite of 3D entertainment products and services, the company brings Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 - the world's first digital still camera can capture panoramic photos in 3D - to the country.
Supposedly primed for capturing DSLR quality images, TX9 is equipped with 25mm and 24mm wide-angle lens respectively, a 12.2 megapixel Exmor R CMOS image sensor and Full HD (that's 1920 x 1080, 50i) AVCHD recording capability that together produce stunning, high-resolution videos and photos.
Aside from stellar technical specs, equally impressive is the fashion-forward and sleek Cyber-shot DSC-T99 design identity, which stands out with its stylish aluminum chassis;
Adding a third dimension to otherwise usual photos, Sony CyberShot TX9 allows photo enthusiasts to capture panoramic photos in 3D with Sony's exlusive 3D Sweep Panorama feature. Users simply have to sweep the camera in a vertical or horizontal direction to capture ultra-wide panorama shots in 3D that users can then view on a compatible screen that supports 3D-viewing via HDMI.
This 3D experience is further enhanced with Sweep Multi View, which shoots and stores 15 images from various viewpoints, and creates three-dimensional visuals. Users can immediately view images with 3D effects on the camera screen itself just by tilting the device.
TX9 also features Background Defocus mode, which allows budding photographers to capture macro and portrait photos with blurred background effect that previously could only be achieved using DSLR cameras.
For capturing fast-moving scenes from sports matches and the like, the TX9 comes equipped with high-speed continuous shooting of 10 frames per second as well as Full HD (1920 x 1090 50i) AVCHD video recording capability.
Ideal for casual users, Sony CyberShot TX9 flaunts a Superior Auto Shooting mode. When activated, SAS automatically chooses optimal settings to match the conditions and shooting scene with merely a press of the shutter button. Additionally, this new camera minimizes the need for post-processing and editing with the new Soft Skin mode that enhances the subject's facial features by defining the eyes and lips and removing skin blemishes for more beautiful portrait shots. Users can choose from 3 Soft Skin modes, namely low, medium and high. TX can enhance the appearance of 8 faces all at the same time!
Sony CyberShot TX9 dons a 3.5" 921k resolution LCD glass touchscreen at the back.
Sony CyberShot TX9 features "Exmor R" CMOS sensor with approximately twice the sensitivity of conventional CMOS sensors, wide-angle 25 mm lens, high performance retractable Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens and 4x optical zoom.
Undeniably gorgeous and powerful Sony CyberShot TX9 is already out in the Philippines with a suggested retail price of Php 27,999, inclusive of taxes.
