Samsung Nexus S : Photos and Specs Surface!
In just a span of 24 hours, Samsung Nexus S aka Google Nexus 2 popped up on FCC, surfaced on Wi-Fi Alliance and was slipped into Best Buy Mobile. But perhaps its most important appearance was on Engadget, where everyone finally saw how it really looks like for the first time --
While I really don't think Samsung Nexus S i9020 looks an awful lot like Samsung Galaxy S i9000, their specs are nonetheless rumored to be largely identical -- save for the operating system. Nexus S runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread as opposed to Galaxy S' recently updated Froyo OS. As for other features, we can expect Nexus S to don a 5 MegaPixel AutoFocus camera with HD video recording capability, Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity and also, perhaps, the 4" Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen also found on Galaxy S.
No word on price or release date yet but I'm guessing this should see release in Q1 2011. Stay tuned for updates.
