BlackBerry Curve 9300 3G vs. 8520 : Physical Comparison, Hardware Check

Woke up this morning with these two phones lying beside me in bed. *Aherm*

BlackBerry Curve 8520 and BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300, respectively

I looked at them and I suddenly remembered that promise I made to shoot a hardware comparison video of the two. So I took out my other phone and recorded this:

Like I what I said, I just woke up when I shot the video (and I recorded it straight from bed) so - if you will - pardon the voice, choice of words, etc. :)

Again, here are the most noticeable hardware differences between BB Curve 8520 and BB Curve 9300 3G --

1. 9300 has metallic accents on its 'face' and rim. (Note: You can now BB Curve 8520 in Silver, which really looks a lot like BB Curve 9300.)
2. 8520 has a glossy plastic battery cover while 9300 has a matte, rubbery, textured plastic battery cover.
3. In 8520, you get these thin white plastic 'dividers' between the Call and BlackBerry buttons and the Back and Drop buttons.
4. I forgot to mention in the video that 9300 has a more protruding optical trackpad for navigation, which feels more sturdy than the one on 8520. (I can't believe I forgot to talk about it. See. Maybe I was still sleepy.)

There you go.

It looks better than the Samsung Omnia, but it has less features. Really crappy...
