Cristine Reyes on Twitter Attacking Sarah Geronimo ?!
Caught this on TV Patrol just a few minutes ago.
According to the report, Cristine Reyes (if that's really her) flared up on Twitter yesterday (supposedly) after news of Sarah Geronimo saying, "Pag magaling magsayaw habulin ng mga babaeng sexy" (trans. When you dance well, sexy girls run after you) during an ASAP XV rehearsal reached her.
Probably thinking that Sarah Geronimo made that statement to attack her and her on-screen and (supposedly former) off-screen sweetheart Rayver Cruz (a dancer-actor who also happens to be Sarah Geronimo's ex-boyfriend), Cristine Reyes (if that's really her) turned to Twitter and published these Tweets for no-less-than public consumption --

Note that Cristine Reyes (if that's really her) never mentioned the name of Sarah Geronimo in her tweets. Though some words or details found in the short messages (some not shown in the grab above) like IDOL or Princess seem to allude or point to Sarah G.
TP Thoughts:
1. I honestly don't find anything wrong with Sarah Geronimo's supposed 'Pag magaling sumayaw...' comment. I don't find it malicious at all -- In fact, I can imagine Sarah telling John Pratts that as a joke. (Unless, of course, if Sarah has long been making snide comments about Rayver and Cristine and this last one merely drew the final straw. Who knows?)
2. We're not even sure if this is the REAL Cristine Reyes tweeting! It's not a verified account and for all we know, this tweep could be a poser. Can somebody please confirm if @PilyangSweet really belongs to one of the sexiest Pinays ever, Ms. Cristine Reyes?
3. The moral of this story, I think, is that we should avoid making unnecessary or uncalled-for comments about people -- even in the form of jokes. For crying out loud: Let's all just live and let live! (LOL! Yeah right, TechPinas.)

ReplyDeletethis post belongs here perfectly. this issue wouldn't have happened without Twitter or social media, which is now an integral part of the internet and of technology in general.
it's 2010 and whether close-minded people like you accept it or not, Twitter, Facebook and social media will be a big part of how technology rules our lives. I salute techpinas for recognizing that whereas other tech blogs are stuck in their 2005 ways.
back to the topic, christine reyes' comments blew out of proportion because she posted it on twitter for all the world to see. had she kept it to herself or written her comments on a diary, this issue wouldn't have happened. if a celebrity says something on twitter these days, it becomes big news. that's the power of twitter.
Sarah Geronimo has gone a long way. In her 7 years in showbiz, she has excelled and attained major achievements. She has garnered prestigious recognitions. If she possessed undesirable traits, she would have been dismissed early and would not have been where she is today. She's the biggest star in her generation but despite of that, she remains grounded. She may have flaws but her admirable qualities far outweigh them. To Sarah, just emulate Judy Ann Santos. You haven't reached one-fourth of the humiliation and nastiness that she went through but everything repaid her with blessings. Stay humble as you are and put God first in everything you do.
ReplyDeleteWhy CR makes it a big deal wherein fact she doesn't heard how the comment delivered and to whom it was meant for. Maybe, the one who relay the messages to CR made it in exaggerated manner. Just hope that CR would ask/investigate first if the joke was intended for her. She can ask her co artist if the joke was intended for her. Hope every one rise above petty squabbles and differences specially they are working on the same station. Their world is so small that one day they crossed their path. At the end of the day their still kapamilya.
