Huawei Philippines : Brings Android Phones to the Country, Expands Business!
Last night - at the Fort - saw the launch of two hot Android products from Huawei. Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., for those who are not familiar with the company, is no less than the largest networking and telecommunications equipment supplier in the People's Republic of China.
Huawei Technologies Inc (Huawei) is marking a new business milestone by introducing the latest terminal products that include smart phones, tablets and wireless modems to the buying public.
Huawei, China’s first multinational brand, offers the most complete telecom product portfolio, covering mobile, broadband, core network, transmission network, data communication, value-added services, and terminals. Prior to the terminal products, the Huawei business in the Philippines has focused on Business-to-Business solutions.
“Huawei recognizes the increasing demand for Android operated gadgets” said Mr. Yang Hua, Huawei President. “We believe that the Philippine market is really growing and we want to be here for that. The Philippines is not texting capital of the world for nothing,” Mr. Yang Hua added.
With the launch of Huawei’s terminal products—the Huawei IDEOS, Huawei S7 and Huawei E5, the company is focused at gaining a strong market share by 2011. Mr. Yang Hua added, “I think Huawei has made a good name in China and in the US. It is time to make a name here in the Philippines.”
New Huawei Android Phones in the Philippines!
The first product unveiled was Android 2.2 powered Huawei IDEOS, a very pocket-friendly phone (in every way you can imagine), which I personally I call 'The Cutest Android Phone' in the market right now. When it finally hits store shelves in the Philippines, it will be the most affordable Android handset you can find.
Second was Huawei S7, a gorgeous slate - with a really sturdy pop-out stand - that runs Android 2.1 and actually works as a phone! With the Android operating system and embedded 3G module, the S7 expands various user applications besides the basic 3G communication services, and supports classification and dragging of the home screen elements. Providing convenient and quality services such as picture, audio, video, network, and information services, the S7 serves as good assistant and partner of your daily life.
The S7 has a stylish appearance and a portable design. With a full touchscreen, an ultra-thin design, and a silver metal rim, the S7 presents a stylish and technically appealing appearance.
That's it for now. Please stayed tuned for updates - like pricing details, full specifications and more photos.
