HP TouchPad Tablet : Technical Specifications, Features, Photos
The first fruit of HP's 2010 landmark merger with (or more like take-over of) Palm has finally been unveiled.
Obviously made to go head to head with Apple's next generation iPad, HP TouchPad runs WebOS 3.0 platform with its 1.2 GHz Snapdragon CPU. The slate flaunts a 9.7-inch widescreen display with 1024 x 768 screen resolution - to be exact, a front-facing 1.3 megapixel webcam, sensors including gyroscope, accelerometer and compass, 16GB and 32GB internal storage options and video call support. As for connectivity, HP TouchPad supports Wifi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and A-GPS for the 3G model.
Other key features include instant-on access, Adobe Flash Player 10.1 beta support in browser, virtual keyboard, and access to thousands of applications.
Much as it offers a lot of amazing features, HP TouchPad's WebOS - in itself - is the very highlight of the product.
Quoting Jon Rubinstein, General Manager of Palm Global Business Unit at HP;
Exact release date and pricing details of this tablet have yet to be disclosed by HP.
In the meantime, here are the technical specifications of HP TouchPad;
