Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7100 : Official Specifications, Features, Photos
So Samsung has decided to call it Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 instead of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Good call, I think, since clearly the company intends to promote and sell the initial and the updated versions of the slate side by side.
We now have the complete technical specifications of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, announced just a few hours ago at MWC 2011.
The follow-up to the rather-popular Samsung Galaxy Tab, P7100 runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS with its 1 GHz Tegra 2 chip. The tablet sports a massive 10.1-inch TFT WXGA capacitive touchscreen display, an 8 MegaPixel camera with Flash and Autofocus at the back that also takes 1080p HD videos, a 2 megapixel camera in front for video calls, 3.5mm audio jack and a microUSB port. As for connectivity options, it supports Wifi, Bluetooth and HSPA+.
Amazingly, despite having a bigger screen than its predecessor, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is actually slimmer than P1000. The former has depth of only 10.9 millimeters while the latter measures 12 millimeters.
Stay tuned for pricing details and release date in the Philippines. Off hand though, I think this will don a price tag similar to that of the first Tab when it was launched here.
