Nokia E7 Price, Review by Owner, Actual Photos, Release Date
For TP friends who've been sending us messages on Facebook regarding the retail price and release date of Nokia E7 in the Philippines;
Business slider Nokia E7 will be available for purchase in the Philippines starting March 31, 2011 at all Nokia Stores nationwide. The official suggested retail price is Php 32,000.
Like other Nokia business communicator handsets that came before it, Nokia E7 sports a full QWERTY keyboard, which makes typing and sending emails and text messages and checking documents a whole lot quicker and easier.
Nokia E7 flaunts a massive 4-inch AMOLED display with Nokia Clear Black Technology making colors more vibrant and vivid. The capacitive touchscreen is made of scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass.
Nokia E7 runs Symbian^3 operating system with its 680 MHz ARM 11 chip. This slider sports an 8 MegaPixel fixed focus camera with dual LED flash that also shoots high-definition 720p 24 frames per second videos, HDMI out, microUSB port, 16GB of internal memory and - get this - an actual USB on-the-go port! As for connectivity, the handset supports 3G, Wifi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0.

Nokia E7 Review by Actual Owner
TP Friend Jade Bryan Jardinico got his Nokia E7 via last month's The Search for 7 online contest where participants were given clues online as to how they could find the whereabouts of a Nokia E7 handset each day of the week. The first participant to tweet the virtual location of the unit at @WOMWorldNokia went home with a brand spanking new Nokia E7 phone. Jade was one of the winners.
Here are some photos he took of his gorgeous new smartphone --

Finally, check out his first impressions review of his Nokia E7 --
It’s been two weeks when I received the Nokia E7 fresh from London.
For those who are baffled on why the heck I got a Nokia E7 even though it is not yet officially launched in many regions around the world. Well, I was one of the lucky 7 people who participated on the Search For 7 2011 competition of Nokia. Just refer here for the highlights,
Today I will be sharing my first impressions of the Nokia E7 to TechPinas community. So what I have below are brief highlights of my experiences with E7.
What’s hot with E7?
- Best Nokia design I have ever used, front to back
- Body construction is very solid and feels sturdy when you hold, thanks to anodized aluminum casing
- Nifty QWERTY keyboard
- 4.0” AMOLED Capacitive scratch resistant screen with CBD is vibrant and appealing
- Good battery life management for Symbian^3
What’s not so good with E7?
- Camera lens is prone to scratches due to the level of the back casing although camera lens is not obscured
- Quite heavy for users who are used with light devices but getting used is easy as you will love its feel in your hands
- Full Focus camera is not suitable for macro or text shots
- Mail system on Symbian^3 is not so polished, retrieval and syncing sometimes messed up
- Occasional software bugs still remain but you could live with it, for now
- The missing 2mm port
I have lots of compliments for Nokia E7, but it’s more on the hardware side of it especially on the design. I should mention that Nokia E7’s design approach was turning complexity to simplicity. And they really nailed it as to what we see on the final piece of their innovations. A 13.6mm slim phone with four row QWERTY keyboard inside over on a tilting design is a magnificent achievement for the design team of Nokia (kudos to Shunjiro Eguchi).
However, on the other side of it my experiences were mixed with frustrations due to the software issues I’ve encountered. There occasions that my E7 hangs up even with no heavy apps running on background. Also the mail system of Symbian^3 is not that efficient to use ‘coz it sucks during synchronizations especially the retrieval point when you reply for an email. But I really do hope that Nokia could deliver big big changes and fixes to E7’s software once they’ve hit PR 2.0 considering E7 as business device so messaging is very vital for users.
And so if you’re one of the people who are looking forward on owning and trying this device then I must say that you will not regret ‘coz E7 is really a stunning piece of device. It’s both suitable for business and multimedia buddy.
P.S.
I just want to let everyone know that I will post my full review of E7 on SymbianWorld.org. But always stay tuned to TP ‘coz will still dropping my exclusive articles. J
Thanks Jade! You're the best!

Thanks Jade! You're the best!
wow, very expensive, id stick with my e72 until this becomes affordable...
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteYes, quite expensive but I think it's really worth for your money. It's the only computer device that I could bring wherever I am. I'm always writing Word document using it and almost all video files (movies like .avi, mp4, .xvid) are playable.

too expensive...
ReplyDeleteWay to go jade, but i still believe e7 is not worth the price :)
ReplyDelete32,000 is not too bad for a decent smartphone when compared to the trash that LG and Samsung put on the market. 10,000 more for 32gb iPhone 4 is better if it wasn't locked to Globe.
ReplyDeletePuts me off buying phones in Philippines, better to import from Hong Kong and beat the Bureau of Customs with a big stick so they don't fleece us for more tax to stick in the politicians pockets
visit my website http://ur-1st-stop.blogspot.com for the latest released models of mobile phones with its updated prices.i already sell this model along with the newly released phones like HTC Incredible S, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix 4G and Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc.awaiting for the XPERIA Play in a week or so.might you be interested, you may call/text me at 09208382075.
