Apple vs. Samsung In Court : Apple Sues Samsung for Blatantly Copying The Look of iPhone and iPad
I wonder why Apple seems to be singling Samsung out. Is it because the Korean company has grown so much over the past few years, there's finally something to get out of suing it?

Last Friday, Apple slapped Samsung with a lawsuit for allegedly violating the Cupertino company's intellectual property rights by copying the design identity of the iPhone and iPad on its Galaxy devices, specifically Samsung Galaxy S 4G, Samsung Epic 4G, Samsung Nexus S and Samsung Galaxy Tab. Elements of TouchWiz UI, such as the screen icons, were also said to be in violation of Apple's interface patents.
Quoting Apple,
TP Thoughts:
Clearly, this is all about iOS vs. Android. I mean, why single out Samsung's Android line of devices? I hope Google offers Samsung some assistance in court -- it's but fair.

Quoting Apple,
"This kind of blatant copying is wrong [...] Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple's technology, user interface and innovative style in these infringing products."

ReplyDeleteGinagawa kasi ng Samsung eh parang kukunin nila yung idea sa ibang manufacturers then lalagyan nila ng improvement tapos they will credit it as their own. Tama nga naman yung sinabi ng Apple: "Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple's technology, user interface and innovative style..."

ReplyDeleteApple is stupid for suing Samsung. If it weren't for samsung, iphone wouldn't have existed. Why?? 'cause some parts inside the iphone are made by samsung. Face it Apple, your weak w/o samsung!

ReplyDeleteHi, great post. So is really Apple the only one driving technology and innovation today? Lets give more credit to the others, but in this case Apple has a point against Samsung. The phones look very similar.
ReplyDeleteCOOL ok now this is entertainment!! sweet! =)
ReplyDeleteLots of informative eye-candy here, comparing the actual content of Apple's trademarks with the Galaxy S. If you're interested in this case, it's worth a look!
