HTC Desire S Philippines : Price, Launch and Release Date

This post aims to collate all relevant information about HTC Desire S in the Philippines.



One of the Taiwanese company's flagship phones for 2011, HTC Desire S brings several improvements to last year's best-seller HTC Desire; Most noticeable of which is the more conservative and streamlined design identity. On the software side, the phone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS skinned and enhanced by HTC Sense 2.0 as opposed to its predecessor's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system with an earlier version of HTC Sense.

Pricing Details and Release Date

HTC SouthEast Asia, via its PR agency in the Philippines - ArdentComm, has just sent TP an invite to the official launch of HTC Desire S in the Philippines happening on April 28, 2011;



I think the official release of the handset will happen a few days - maybe a week - after its launch. Last week, TP received information from a very reliable source that Smart will also be selling the phone as a bundled unit for its postpaid plans.

Although the handset hasn't seen official launch in the country, some shops already have it on their shelves. I've seen some online stores sell it for around Php 23,000 - 26,000. Note though that we've yet to hear from HTC SE Asia on HTC Desire S' official pricing details in the Philippines.
