Samsung Chat 222 Dual SIM : Price, Specs, Features
This one's a tad more affordable than the rather famous Samsung Punch.
We haven't received any formal press release from Samsung Philippines on this handset. But we have TP friends telling us that they've already spotted it in some online shops.
Samsung Chat 222 aka Samsung E2222 is part of the company's DUOS line, which means that it offers Dual SIM support. What sets it apart from similar releases though is that it's also a Dual Standby phone so it can receive signal from two networks at the same time.
Selling for only Php 3,350 in online stores, Samsung Chat 222 comes with a 2.2-inch TFT display, full QWERTY thumb-type keypad, VGA camera with no flash, 3.5mm audio jack, 43MB of internal memory expandable to 16GB via microSD card slot, microUSB port, integrated social networking service and a QCIF 15fps video recorder. As for connectivity options, it only supports GPRS and Bluetooth -- no Wifi nor 3G.
TP Thoughts
The main selling point of this phone, for me, would have to be the QWERTY keypad. But if you don't care too much about that feature, there's always the ultra-affordable Nokia X1-01, which sells for only Php 1,990.
