It's becoming a TechPinas Tradition, really. This is the second year we're covering the SONA by President Noynoy Aquino.

Part of TP's vision is to inform and empower Online Filipinos by publishing news and features that are relevant to their multi-faceted lives. We believe that one way to achieve that is to also cover events that are highly-important to the nation (even if they are not particularly tech-related) -- one of which being the State of the Nation address by the President. We hope that by doing so, we can somehow help in nation-building and truly live-up to our name, TechPinas.


To put it simply, State of the Nation Address (SONA) is the President's report on how the country has been - in general - for the past year of his administration. SONA 2011 is scheduled today, July 25, 2011, at around 4:00 PM.
