Apple iPad 3 : Arriving in October? Comes with Retina Display, Will Be Thinner and Lighter than iPad 2?
Sources and insiders of both Japan's Macotahara and Taiwan's Digitimes from Asian companies that are part of Apple's supply chain for its mobile devices are saying one thing:
The next version of Apple's ultra-popular tablet, which will be called (surprise!) iPad 3, is already set to be released this coming October -- that's just a little more than two months from now.
So how will this iPad3 look?
Well, to quote directly from Apple Insider, "[The Apple iPad 3] would be even thinner and lighter than the current iPad 2. The device's screen resolution will allegedly be increased to 250 dots per inch, making it a 'Retina Display' with a pixel density closer to the iPhone 4."

TP Thoughts:
Considering how Apple usually does things, I'm almost certain that Apple iPad 3 - if that's what it's going to be called - will be thinner and lighter than its predecessor.
I'm not holding my breath that the tablet would be released within this year though. Very early next year, maybe. But this year? I don't think so. After all, Steve Jobs himself has declared that 2011 will be the Year of iPad 2 and as it stands, Apple is still struggling to meet the overwhelming global demand for iPad2.
But let's see. :)
