Samsung Galaxy SL vs. LG Optimus Black : Technical Specifications Comparison
If you're looking for a really good Android smartphone but Php 20,000 max is all you're willing to blow on it, then you could very well end up choosing between Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 and LG Optimus Black P970.
Samsung Galaxy SL and LG Optimus Black, respectively.
Naturally, you'd want to ask, "Which of these two phones offer the most bang for the buck? Which is better?"
Again, here in TechPinas, we stick to facts and to technical specs sheets in answering such questions. So in true TechPinas fashion, here's Samsung Galaxy SL vs. LG Optimus Black Technical Specifications Comparison Table:
I guess the table pretty much speaks for itself. LG Optimus Black is thinner and lighter than Samsung Galaxy SL. Their screens are of the same size and of similar pixel density but LG Optimus Black's NOVA Display is more than twice as bright as Samsung Galaxy SL Super Clear LCD screen. This is feature that you'd surely appreciate when using your smartphone outdoors. You can view text messages, images and videos clearly on LG Optimus Black's NOVA Display even when you're under the sun. (Also, LG claims that NOVA display is leaps and bounds more energy efficient than any smartphone screen out in the market today -- so I guess that more than makes up for the fact that Samsung Galaxy SL has a bigger battery).
As for the camera, both phones come in 5 MegaPixel back camera, although LG Optimus Black has the advantage with its LED flash. LG Optimus Black further takes the lead with its 2MP front camera vis-Ã -vis Galaxy SL’s VGA. While Samsung Galaxy SL has a slightly more sizable internal memory at 4GB, LG Optimus Black nonetheless has more RAM and of course, Optimus Black users can always increase their phone's memory with the microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB.
For me, the choice is easy. I want a phone that's thin and light with screen so bright that I can see it perfectly even when I'm playing sports outdoors under the noontime sun and with camera replete with LED flash that lets me take photos and videos when I'm in a bar at night, partying with friends and having a blast.
