LG Optimus Black Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update : 3 Improvements to Expect from the Firmware Upgrade

The slimmest handset with the world's brightest NOVA Display, LG Optimus Black, will become even more incredible when it finally gets Android 2.3 Gingerbread firmware update within October!



Android 2.3 Gingerbread brings a number of enhancements to the already powerful Android 2.2 Froyo operating system. For me, the three most useful improvements that come with Gingerbread are the following:

Improved Power Management and Uptime
Android 2.3 ensures maximum battery life and best performance possible by taking a more active role in managing applications that keep the device awake for too long or that are consuming a large chunk of the CPU while running in the background.

Enhanced Gaming Experience
Android 2.3 minimizes application pauses by identifying and solving performance and memory issues. Likewise, Gingerbread improvements found across the system help enhance gaming experience by providing smoother animation and increased responsiveness in touch and keyboard events.

Better Control Over Applications
