Alcatel Philippines Gets Chris Tiu as Celebrity Endorser, Aims for a More High-End Image?
Look what I've just spotted in the mall!

Really, Alcatel could have just gotten a teenybopper sensation from either networks to appeal to the masses. Instead, they got former Ateneo Blue Eagle and Smart Gilas basketball star Chris Tiu to be the face of their handsets. I guess the people behind Alcatel are totally serious about turning around the local image of the brand (Remember those big Safeguard-soap-shaped Alcatel phones from several years back?).
Anyway.
If the goal is to make the brand look more high-end - if a bit, I think Alcatel made the right decision in plastering Chris Tiu's face all over their campaign materials. Call me biased for being a fellow Atenean, but that's how it is.
