Research in Motion is offering a selection of free premium apps worth more than $100USD to customers around the world as an expression of appreciation, following the recent service disruptions that affected customers in Europe, North America, the Middle East, India, Latin America and Africa.
BlackBerry Bold 9900 -- in the flesh!
The apps will be made available to customers over the coming weeks on BlackBerry App World and will continue to be available only until December 31, 2011 -- so make sure you download them ASAP.
"Our global network supports the communications needs of more than 70 million customers," shares RIM Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis. "We truly appreciate and value our relationship with our customers. We’ve worked hard to earn their trust over the past 12 years, and we’re committed to providing the high standard of reliability they expect, today and in the future."
The complete selection of premium apps will become available for free download over a period of four weeks beginning Wednesday, October 19th (maybe on the 20th, for the Philippines). The selections over this period will include the following applications -- with more to come:
