Angry Birds Year of the Dragon, Arriving on January 20, 2012!
If the sheer number and variety of Angry Birds merchandise (plush toys, pillows, pencils, pencil cases, tumblers, mugs, plates etc.) I saw in Divisoria last December were any indication of how well Rovio's mobile game is doing in the Philippines, I'd say we're no less than an Angry Birds Nation.
So I'm sure this news will leave a lot of Pinoy kids and kids-at-heart wide-eyed in excitement.
Based on teasers recently leaked by Rovio, the next version of its Angry Birds video game is inspired by the upcoming Chinese New Year.
The latest release, called simply Angry Birds Year of the Dragon, is set to arrive on January 20, 2012, which is three days earlier than the start of the Chinese New Year -- giving fans enough time to download and install the game in time for the celebration.
Rovio has yet announcement which platform (Android, iOS, Nokia Belle, etc.) will get this new version first. Likewise, we've yet to hear about the pricing details. Here's to hoping it will be free and that all platforms will get it at the same time on the 20th.
