Apple iPad Mini Price and Release Date Guesstimate, Tentative Specifications Table, Supposed Final Design Photos!
Considering the stunning accuracy of recent Apple leaks and 'insider infos', I guess it's safe to assume that these photos are - well - likewise for real.
Now, ain't that cute?!
Following the official announcement of iPhone 5 and new iPod line earlier this month, Apple shares climbed past $700 for the first time ever. This in itself is already an unbelievable and unprecedented feat by a tech company -- but Apple is far from done in wowing its fans and shareholders this year.
Perhaps realizing that there is indeed room for an affordable mini-slate in a market that the company itself practically created, Apple is said to be currently prepping to release a smaller and less powerful version of the ultra-popular iPad. Called iPad Mini by industry insiders, the new WiFi-Only iDevice is believed to feature a 7.85-inch display - which is exactly 1.85 inches smaller diagonally than the screen of the new iPad - and to run the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system called iOS6 with its Apple A5 processor. The Cupertino company is expected to formally announce the slate via an exclusive media event this coming October with release date happening sometime during the Yuletide Season.
Like iPhone 5, the iPad Mini will most likely come in two color variants; Black Front Bezel with Aluminum Back Case, and other flaunting a White Front Bezel. Also, as you can see in this image, the device has a camera at the back; As yet, we don't know the exact specifications of this shooter but I'm guessing it will be more or less similar to the one on iPod Touch 4th Generation.
Here's a photo showing size difference between the metal frames of the new iPad, iPad Mini, iPhone 5, and iPhone 4S.
Of course, as of writing we don't have official word yet from Apple on iPad Mini's release date and pricing details in the Philippines. (Heck, as of today, we don't even know if it's actually going to be released globally.) But if it's real, I'm personally expecting the slate to reach our shores around Christmas this year with price tag starting at roughly Php 18,000. Again, TP Friends, that's just our TP Guesstimate. So we best stay tuned for updates.
