Sony Xperia Acro S Philippines Price, Specs, Release Date : Water Resistant, Life Proof!
Sony Xperia Acro S has practically the same technical specifications as that of the flagship Sony Xperia S released in the Philippines way back in March.
Both smartphones have the same 4.3-inch 720 x 1280 pixels resolution LED-backlit LCD display.
They have similar 12 MegaPixel camera and Full HD 1080p video recorder at the back with Exmor R sensor technology, which delivers brighter and clearer images even in not so well-lit conditions.
Heck, the two handsets even have the same 1.5 GHz Dual Core Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset CPU running Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, and 1 GB of RAM for multi-tasking.
But Sony Xperia Acro S has three key features that its predecessor simply lacks.
First, Xperia Acro S has a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB, allowing users to expand the 16GB of internal storage. Second, it has a slightly bigger Li-Ion 1910 mAh battery versus Xperia S' 1750 mAh pack, resulting in extended uptime -- if a bit.
Third and perhaps most importantly, Acro S is built in such a way that its dust, water, and shatter proof. The smartphone is IP57 certified to resist both water and dust and is even water-proof when submerged up to 1 meter of liquid for as long as 30 minutes.
Gotta love all those life-proof and 'made to resist' features. But really, for me, what makes this phone a true standout in the Android market is still its svelte design, the sleek TimeScape UI, and that powerful set of imaging, gaming, and multi-media features that only a legendary entertainment company like Sony can promise and provide.
Sony Xperia Acro S has just been released in the Philippines! It's now available at all Sony Mobile stores nationwide as well as the company's authorized retail outlets across the archipelago. Available in Black, Pink and White, the handset has an official suggested retail price of Php 26,990.
