Lenovo S880 Philippines Price, Dual SIM Dual Standby Phablet Complete Specifications : Out Now!
Here's another cool phone that I spotted when I did my gadget window-shopping at the top floor of SM San Lazaro in Manila last Saturday.
Lenovo S880, the Chinese company's first Android smartphone-tablet hybrid or phablet, flaunts a ginormous 5-inch 480 x 800 pixels display and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with its MTK MT6575 chipset containing a single core 1 GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor and an embedded PowerVR SGX 531 Pro GPU. Other key features include 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage which users can expand using the phone's microSD card slot, 5 MegaPixel autofocus camera without flash, VGA front-facing camera, a 720p HD video recorder, and a 2250 mAh Li-Ion battery delivering up to 300 hours of standby and 17 hours of talk time. As for connectivity, the handset supports WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G.
Priced at only Php 14,999, Lenovo S880 is practically the only mid-level Android phablet that's been officially released in the Philippines. While not quite as big nor as powerful as the flagship level first generation Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy Note 2, S880 one ups the competition by having Dual SIM Dual Standby support and of course, a far more affordable price tag. So really, Lenovo's hybrid device is for budget-conscious users who want to experience Android on extra-large display without having to break the bank.
To tell you honestly, as yet, I haven't really got the chance to extensively play with a Lenovo Android smartphone so I can't really say whether they're good or not. However, I've been hearing a lot of positive things about them -- so yeah, I guess I should check them out. (Do you own a Lenovo smartphone? Is it good? Share your comments below.)
Anyway, to wrap this up in true TechPinas fashion, I present the complete technical specifications of Lenovo S880, which is currently the only midrange phablet available in the Philippine market.
