MyPhone A919 Duo Price Php 7,999, Complete Specifications : Dual SIM, Dual Core 5-Inch Phablet by MyPhone!
MyPhone Team is probably saying, "Enough is enough! We need to fight back!"
First, the Pinoy company's celebrity endorsers Anne Curtis and Sarah Geronimo jumped shipped to Cherry Mobile. Then, Cherry Mobile released a Php 3,999 Android smartphone that totally slayed their similarly priced A818 Duo handset in terms of specifications. And finally, CM's Titan phablet seemingly pwned all handsets released my MyPhone in its history.
Well, it appears MyPhone is finally shaking the dust off its armament and is just about ready to launch its own counter-offensive! Nope, the Solid Group company refuses to be a sitting duck amidst Cherry Mobile's attention-grabbing, firework-like releases.
And it all begins with this stellar phablet, the MyPhone A919 Duo!
Flaunting a massive 5-inch 480 x 854 pixels IPS display, MyPhone's very own Dual SIM smartphone-tablet hybrid runs Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system right out of the box with its 1 GHz Dual Core MediaTek MT6577 chipset and handles multitasking with 512 MB of RAM. Other key features include an 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, a 720p HD video recorder, a VGA front-facing camera, and a Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery delivering up to 180 hours of standby time. As for connectivity, the phablet supports WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G.
MyPhone calls A919 Duo their Biggest and Best release yet largely because of its screen and its laudable set of technical specifications. But for me, what's really hot about it is its updated, rounded design, which is highly reminiscent of the best-selling Samsung Galaxy S3.
I've yet to see a unit in the flesh but based on the photos and specs-sheet, I think this is a good release. (I can't really say much about its reliability or the company's after-sales service because I haven't really owned a MyPhone handset.) Now, if only MyPhone can price it at Php 6,490 or less, I believe it can give Cherry Mobile Titan W500 a serious run for the money. Frankly, its current official SRP of Php 7,999 might turn off a few penny-pinchers and even make it easier for them to choose CM's more affordable albeit more 'industrial' looking offering. Just my two cents.
