Nokia Asha 205 Price, Specs, Release Date : Has Facebook Button, Supports New Slam Feature!
Nokia Asha 205, a new full QWERTY handset officially announced by the Finnish company a few days ago, only costs $62 USD or roughly Php 2,500 before taxes and subsidies.
Sure, it doesn't support WiFi connectivity nor 3G mobile speeds but at that amount and considering how cute it looks and that it has Dual SIM Dual Standby functionality, I'm sure young and young-at-heart consumers will find the device quite hard to ignore when it hits store shelves this Christmas.
According to Nokia, there are two things that make this device particularly special. First, it's the first handset by the company to have a dedicated Facebook button making it easier for users to quickly update their account on the social networking site and to check out their friends' activities. And second, it has this new feature called 'Slam' which lets you send content to other Bluetooth-enabled devices without having to go through the process of pairing -- off hand, I don't have an idea how it works exactly so I'm just looking forward to getting hold of a unit to give Slam a test run.
If you ask me though, what I find attractive about this handset is its youthful design with vibrant hues, the Dual SIM functionality, and the fact that its battery delivers up to a staggering 891 hours of standby -- talk about not having to charge your handset for days on end! All things considered, I think Nokia Asha 205 would be an ideal secondary phone for smartphone users like me.
