TechPinas Trusts Kimstore
Last week, I finally got to meet the woman behind Kimstore, the leading online gadget store in the Philippines as of writing.
"I understand you because I know for sure that I wouldn't be where I am today without all the people who have supported me along the way. The people we work with are really most important," I told Kim over dinner at Lucky Chinatown Mall (a mall that's particularly close to my heart because it represents growth in an area where Kim and I both grew up in -- the Tondo-Binondo-Santa Cruz area in Manila.) We met up to discuss a TechPinas-Kimstore tie-up project that I know a lot of you have long been emailing me about.
"Madali naman kasi to compete just in terms of price. But as a store, we try to build a really good relationship with our customers. We always try to offer good service and we want our buyers to be happy with their purchase," Kim told me while we strolled around the mall after having dinner.
TP Friends, I recently got a few gadgets from Kimstore and good service is exactly what I felt. I also got to meet Kuya Mark, one of Kim's delivery staff, whose loyalty to Kimstore is unquestionable.
All things considered, I can honestly say that I sincerely trust Kimstore.
DLSU-graduate Kim Lato was merely a teen when she sold her first gadget via Multiply. "When I was starting out, ako talaga ang nagdedeliver ng mga binebenta ko at nakikipagmeet sa buyers. Customer-service, for me, is most important in a business. Kaya nga yung mga long-time customers ko mula nung nagsimula ako, masaya rin sa narating ng Kimstore," she humbly told me. (Now, she already has a staff of at least five people helping her with her deliveries in various pick-up points across Mega Manila while she taps LBC for her nationwide deliveries.) Since then, Kimstore has become not only the most successful but more importantly, the most trusted online outlet for smartphones, digital cameras, tablets, DSLRs, and accessories, among other gizmos. For her stellar work in Kimstore, Kim was recently awarded as the most successful online seller by Multiply and as one of the 12 Young Entrepreneurs by Go Negosyo.
