ZTE Dual SIM Android Smartphones Land in the Philippines! Prices Start at Php 4,990 Only!
Chinese electronics giant, ZTE - currently the fourth largest phone maker in the world, following Samsung, Nokia, and Apple (in that order) - has started to bring some of its very affordable new Android smartphones to the Philippines via its official distributor in the country, MSI-ECS.
Got the chance to exchange emails with Sir Maurice Altar, Assistant Vice President for Marketing and Communications of MSI-ECS Philippines, and he let me in on a few details about ZTE's trio of fresh, pocket-friendly Dual SIM Android releases in Pinas.
ZTE Grand X V970, priced at Php 9,990, leads the pack with its 4.3-inch 540 x 960 pixels display and 1 GHz Dual Core NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset running Android ICS operating system. It has 4GB of internal storage, which you expand via the microSD card slot, providing enough space for photos and videos taken using the 5 MegaPixel autofocus camera with flash and the Full HD video recorder. As for connectivity, the phone supports WiFi, Bluetooth and HSPA+ mobile speeds.
My personal favorite, the Php 7,990 ZTE Blade III V889M is in the middle of the pack with its 1 GHz Dual Core MediaTek MTK6577 chipset and 4-inch 480 x 800 pixels display. Like its more expensive sibling, it runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system right out of the box, has 4GB of expandable storage and features a 5 MegaPixel autofocus camera - albeit without flash. The video recorder is 720p but the true highlight is its 1650 mAh battery, which - paired with the phone's energy efficient features - delivers a more than decent uptime. But what I really like about it is its elegant, slim design -- replete with metallic accents lining the sides and at the back, framing the camera. You totally won't be shy to put this phone on the table in corporate meetings.
The most affordable handset of the bunch is ZTE Kis III V790. This cutie runs ICS with a 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM7225A Snapdragon chipset and flaunts a 3.5-inch 320 x 480 pixels display. Although priced at only Php 4,990, Kis3 should be more than capable of meeting the needs of entry level users; It features a 2 MegaPixel camera, a VGA video recorder, and a GB of internal storage that you can expand using microSD card slot to hold your favorite content. Now, in terms of connectivity, V790 supports Wifi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity.
I know that there are currently a lot of affordable new Dual SIM Android handsets - coming from both local and international manufacturers - to choose from. If you're planning to purchase one soon, I hope that you can check out these handsets from ZTE first before making your decision. I mean, we gotta explore our options to make sure we're getting the best with our hard-earned cash.
ZTE Blade III V889M is exclusively available at all MSI-ECS stores nationwide. If you're interested, you can give them a ring at (02) 6883180.
