Cherry Mobile Flare vs. Cruize : Price Fight, Specs Comparison! Which Affordable Android Smartphone Do You Prefer?
These two are the most affordable members of Cherry Mobile's current roster of Dual SIM Dual Standby Android smartphones.
One costs only Php 3,999 but already comes replete with a Dual Core chip, 4-inch IPS display, and a 5 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash. Upon announcement last Yuletide, Cherry Mobile Flare was instantly deemed 'so sulit' by bargain-hunting Android fans, which greatly helped its sales, enough to make it (unofficially) Cherry Mobile's best-selling full-blown smartphone to date.
Php 4,499 Cherry Mobile Cruize, on the other hand, features a far-larger 5.3-inch TFT display - complemented by a bigger battery pack - and the same 5 MegaPixel camera but only has a 1 GHz Single Core chip, which greatly disappointed some CM fans. Unbeknownst to most users, though, Cruize's MediaTek MTK6575 chipset implements the ARM Cortex A9 processor, which is supposedly more capable than the ARM Cortex A5 processor found in the 1.2 GHz Dual Core Snapdragon S4 MSM8225 chipset powering Flare. (Smartphone geeks, feel free to share your thoughts about these chipsets in this post's comments section.)
Anyway, if you're already at wits' end trying to choose between these two or if you're wondering if Cruize would be a great buy in lieu of Flare, which is becoming increasingly harder to acquire these days, then you might want to study our complete technical specifications comparison table of the two popular CM handsets:
So have you made your decision? Which of these two smartphones do you prefer? (*whispers* I would advise you, however, to give both phones a test run before making a purchase; Compare the touch response and actual speed of each handset. The proof is in the pudding, so they say. Oh, and all things considered - especially after learning more about their chipsets, I think I'd go with Cruize. But that's just me.)
Do you think Cruize offers a great alternative to Flare? Do you think it has a chance of becoming another major best-seller for Cherry Mobile?
