Apple iPad 4 Philippines 128GB WiFi Only and WiFi Plus Cellular Variants, Out Now! Official Price Schedule, Complete Technical Specifications!
Earlier, I visited Apple Online Store Philippines and I found out that the Cupertino company has officially brought its new iPad4 WiFi Only and WiFi plus Cellular 128GB variants to the country.
128GB is already double the largest storage option that Apple used to offer in its tablet category. You can get the iPad 4th Generation WiFi Only 128GB variant for Php 38,990 while its WiFi plus Cellular counterpart goes for Php 44,990.
I have the New iPad. Should I upgrade to iPad 4?
The Fourth Generation iPad looks almost exactly like the New iPad with little changes here and there. If you ask me, I think that the new slate would a fitting upgrade for iPad2 owners (more so, for 1st Gen owners) but if you're currently using the New iPad, then you might want to give it a pass and just wait for the next generation release.
When you place the iPad4 beside the New iPad, you'll find that the most noticeable cosmetic difference between the two comes in the form of the new slate's smaller 9-pin Lightning port, which altogether replaced the 30-pin dock-connector on the previous release. Just a side note: Apple is expected to make more than $200 Million of additional revenue from accessories made for this redesigned port. So there you have it.
But the more important changes are found under the shell and in terms of a few multimedia features. The refreshed tablet is powered by the new Apple A6X processor, which is said to have twice the processing power and graphics performance of the Apple A5X chip inside the New iPad. Additionally, the 4th generation release comes with an upgraded 1.2 MegaPixel front-facing camera with back-illuminated sensor that also lets you make high definition FaceTime video calls.
