HTC One 2013 Flagship Technical Specifications, Camera and Imaging Capabilities, and Press Photos, Leaked!
On February 19, 2013 - that's Tuesday next week - Taiwanese electronics giant HTC is expected to officially unveil its 2013 flagship handset, called simply HTC One, in an exclusive media event in New York.
The formal launch may only be a few days away but that didn't stop a few industry insiders from leaking relevant information about the smartphone that's destined to go head to head with other Android titans this year, namely, Samsung Galaxy S4, LG Optimus G, and Sony Xperia Z.
Earlier this week, we got hold of these images showing HTC One in two colors, White and Black. As you can see, the device's design identity is largely similar to that of a few handsets already out in the market. Personally, I think HTC One - with its thick top and bottom front bezels - looks like HTC One X, Apple iPhone 5, and BlackBerry Z10 rolled into one.
Hot or Not? Let me know your thoughts about HTC One's design via our comments section.
But perhaps more interesting that how it looks are the flagship handset's leaked technical specifications and features. According to unverified reports, HTC One flaunts a 4.7-inch display with 1080p resolution (~468 ppi), runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system skinned by the latest version of HTC Sense user interface (that features live tiles similar to that of Windows Phone 8) with a Quad Core 1.7 GHz Krait Qualcomm APQ8064 chipset and handles multitasking with 2GB of RAM. But the true highlight would have to be its 13 MegaPixel camera, which uses a 'stacked' sensor capable of creating what insiders call 'ultrapixels'. Of course, as yet, we know very little about this imaging technology and we're just as excited as you to see photos and even videos taken using the handset.
The unveiling will be done next Tuesday but when will HTC One become available internationally and how much will it cost? Again, according to rumors, the device should land in the United States on March 22, 2013 via network carriers. No word yet on the possible SRP in the Philippines or anywhere else but I guess we can expect this to be priced just like HTC One X upon release, which is around Php 35,000 to Php 36,000.
