Huawei Ascend G525 Price, Specs, Features : Affordable Quad Core Android Smartphone
There are handful of very affordable quad core Android smartphones currently available in the Philippines. If you're scouting for one and you've yet to make your decision, you might want to include Huawei Ascend G525 in your list of handsets to consider.
"Huawei gives users the unique advantage to switch between work and play, not only because of the [handset's] premium performance but also the long lasting battery life made possible by the integration of the Ascend handsets and our network infrastructures provided to telecommunication companies here and abroad," shared Mr. Johnson Ma, Country Manager of Huawei Device Philippines, about Huawei Ascend G525.
Available in Phantom Black and Pure White and donning a price tag of just Php 6,990, Huawei Ascend G525 runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system with its Quad Core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and effectively handles multitasking with 1 GB of RAM. The 9.9 millimeter thin device comes replete with a 4.5 inch qHD IPS display, 4 GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card slot, 5 MegaPixel autofocus camera without flash at the back, 0.3 MP front-facing cam, Dual SIM Dual Standby capability, 1,700 mAh Li-Ion battery pack, and WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity support.
Obviously, to keep the price of handset that low, Huawei made compromises in Ascend G525's imaging capabilities. Interestingly though, they were able to pair the Quad Core processor with 1 GB of RAM -- something that should come as a pleasant surprise to most consumers as a lot of cheap quad core smartphones these days only come with 512 MB of RAM. So if you're the type of budget-conscious smartphone buyer who favors powerful innards over a really good camera, you should find this release very attractive.
Huawei Ascend G525, which - according to the company - is capable of booting in just 5 seconds, joins Huawei's increasing number top quality handsets in a full range from entry to high-end categories. Recently, Huawei released its competitively priced best-in-class handsets such as the Huawei Ascend W1 Windows Phone 8, which I own, now priced at Php 7,990 from Php 8,990, the 4" Ascend Y300 now available at Php 5,190 from Php 5,990, the 4.5" IPS Dual Core Ascend G510 for Php 5,990, and the huge powerhouse 6.1" quadcore Ascend Mate pocket cinema phablet that you can get for only Php 16,990.
Huawei Ascend G525 is now available at all MemoXpress and jrMX shops nationwide, Powertel Shops (in SM North, SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM Calamba), BSD International in SM Megamall, Mountain Studio in Baguio, Tekpone and Junrex in Cebu, CityTech in Oriental Mindoro, Graphic Shops in Cagayan de Oro, and Tekpone & Herrera Brothers in Davao,
