Cherry Mobile Life Price Php 2,999, Specs, Benchmarks : Out Now At Cherry Mobile Stores and Kiosks Nationwide
Local electronics company, Cherry Mobile, continues to churn out very affordable yet quite capable Android smartphones ala its best-selling Cherry Mobile Flare handset last year.
Following the launch of Php 3,999 Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0, CM quietly released the more pocket-friendly Cherry Mobile Life last October 10, 2013.
Donning an official suggested retail price of just Php 2,999, Cherry Mobile Life joins the very cute O+ 8.31z as the most affordable Dual Core Android smartphones currently available to Pinoy consumers.
CM Life runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system sans any custom interface or skin with its 1.3 GHz Dual Core ARM Cortex A7 and Mali 400 GPU based MediaTek MT6572 chipset. It handles multitasking with 512 MB of RAM and sports a 4-inch WVGA TFT display with 480 x 800 resolution and 233ppi pixel density, a 5 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash, 0.3 MP front cam, video recorder, 4GB of internal storage (1.3 GB user available) that can beefed up via the phone's microSD card slot, GPS, FM Radio, and a removable 1,500 mAh Li-Ion battery pack. Now, as for connectivity, the phone supports WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G HSPA+.
In terms of benchmarks, I'm receiving reports that the handset gets an Antutu Benchmark Test score in the area of 10,900 to 11,000, which is to be expected from a device that features the above-mentioned innards. Just for comparison, a Quad Core Android phone running on a MediaTek MT6589 chipset usually gets an Antutu Benchmark Test score of around 13,200 to 13,900.
Last Thursday, Cherry Mobile Life hit CM store shelves in SM North EDSA, SM MegaMall, SM Manila, SM Cubao, SM Mall of Asia, Berlein Ali Mall and Farmers Plaza. I believe the smartphone is now available at all CM stores and kiosks across the archipelago.
