CloudFone Thrill 400QX Price Php 5,999, Specs, Unboxing : Comes With Two Batteries and Back Cases
To be fair to CloudFone, I think they're the first handset company - local or international - to offer an Android device that ships with two swappable batteries (in different sizes) and corresponding back covers.
According to the company, "CloudFone Thrill 400QX is not just a 4-inch Quad Core smartphone; it’s the phone you choose it to be. With its interchangeable batteries and back covers, you can go from 130g to 170g and back, giving you the choice to either have a slim and sleek device or a bigger and more powerful counterpart."
They added, "Having a 3,000 mAh battery makes it a first for a 4-inch to be this big - not just indicative of its size, but the power it can hold - along with a 1,450 mAh battery also keeps you going throughout your day."
With the 3,000 mAh battery, CloudFone Thrill 400QX provides you with ample power to help you tackle your daily tasks throughout the day with no worries. Whether it’s going through your e-mails, uploading photos and videos, playing games or being updated with the latest happenings via your social networking sites, you have a phone that keeps up (and stays up) with you and your lifestyle.
With the 1,450 mAh battery, you can instantly give the phone a slimmer profile, making it look more elegant, trendy and stylish. Also, thanks to its minimal weight, this configuration is easier to carry around and less of a hassle to keep in the pocket. Obviously, though, this set-up compromises the handset's uptime.
Apart from having dual configurations, CloudFone Thrill 400QX - available in Black and White - also has other cool features that will surely entice a lot of users. The phone runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system with its quite capable 1.2 GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A5 and Adreno 203 GPU based Qualcomm MSM8225Q chipset. It also sports an 8 MegaPixel autofocus camera with LED flash at the back, which should be good enough to give decent shots both indoors and outdoors.
The retail package includes the unit itself, the two battery packs, two back covers with textured finish, earphones, charger, microUSB to USB connector cable, the user manual, and the warranty certificate.
While I think CloudFone Thrill 400QX is a strong release, it does come with several points for improvement. For one, it handles multitasking with just 512MB of RAM. Also, users only get a VGA front cam without BSI sensor and a 4-inch IPS display with a rather low 800 x 480 pixels resolution. But hey, considering that the handset sells for just Php 5,999, it's really hard to make a fuss about its limitations.
Those of you who've met me in person know how paranoid I am when it comes to the uptime of my gadgets. I'm a big fan of powerbanks and extended battery packs. I always say, a phone - no matter how powerful - turns into a paperweight as soon as it runs out of battery. So, needless to say, CloudFone Thrill 400QX's 3,000 mAh battery configuration giving it longer uptime is what I find most attractive about this release.

This big battery, however, admittedly adds weight and thickness to the device, which a lot of users don't like, and that’s where the second battery option comes in.
