Kris Aquino is Cherry Mobile's New Celebrity Endorser : Queen of All Media's Instagram Post Suggests So
Kris Aquino - just like our showbiz industry itself - is no stranger to the Philippine tech scene.
The Queen of All Media has practically done the rounds when it comes to endorsing tech related products and services in the country. For many years, she was the flagship celebrity endorser of Smart Communications. Last December, in a surprising turn of events, she announced that she trusts Globe Telecom in a TVC, which made public her change of allegiance and alliance. Earlier last year, Nokia Philippines got Kris as the sole celebrity endorser of Nokia Lumia 610 - an affordable Windows Phone handset that eventually became a best-seller for the Finnish company.
Well, three weeks ago, via a post on her official Instagram account, Kris Aquino more or less confirmed and announced her newest tech product endorsement.
Last September 19, Kris posted a photo of herself and her bestfriend, Boy Abunda, with officials and representatives of local electronics giant, Cherry Mobile. In that entry, which showed her holding what appears to be a Cherry Mobile Omega HD 2.0, she said, "Thank You, Cherry Mobile!" with hashtag #newblessing giving everyone a hint that she had just signed a deal with the company.
As of today, Cherry Mobile hasn't featured Kris Aquino in any above-the-line, below-the-line, or digital advertising collateral. It remains to be seen whether she will be tapped to promote a specific upcoming handset or tablet release or Cherry Mobile as a brand in general.
When the Pinoy electronics company finally announces that Kris is their newest celebrity endorser, the Queen of All Media will officially join fellow Kapamilya Stars Anne Curtis, Sarah Geronimo, Robin Padilla, and John Lloyd Cruz in CM's pool of showbiz allies.
