Nokia Lumia 1020 Price in Philippines is Php 35,650, Release Date is October 11, 2013 : Comes with Free Php 4,000 Camera Grip
Last night at Ayala Museum in Makati City, Finnish Giant Nokia officially introduced its newest flagship handset, the Nokia Lumia 1020, to technology bloggers and the media in the Philippines.
Nokia Lumia 1020 - as a cameraphone - is more or less a combination of Nokia Lumia 925 and Nokia 808 PureView. It comes with the unprecedented and unrivaled imaging prowess of Nokia 808 PureView headlined by its whopping 41 MegaPixel camera, Nokia imaging algorithms, and PureView technology that compresses or condenses multiple pixels resulting in the clearest images and videos possible -- even on full zoom. And on top of that, it features Nokia Lumia 925's industry-leading low-light imaging performance - thanks to its backside illuminated sensor and an additional 6th lens - and optical image stabilization made possible by multiple floating lenses, which compensate for hand movement while taking photos and recording videos.
I know a lot of you have been waiting patiently for the availability of this beast of a smartphone in our country and I'm happy to inform you that it will finally hit Nokia Store shelves across the archipelago on October 11, 2013 -- that's already Friday next week. The phone's official suggested retail price of Php 35,650 is a bit higher than the TP Guesstimate but you do get this free camera grip worth Php 4,000 when you make a purchase.
The camera grip makes it easier for you to hold the handset when taking photos and even works as case protecting the phone from the scratches, knocks, and bumps of daily use.
On top of that, this accessory even doubles as rechargeable battery case with 1,020 mAh capacity! With it, you can charge Nokia Lumia 1020 on the go for an additional 55 minutes of shooting time!
You can even use the camera grip to mount the handset to a tripod for more steady shots or just so you won't have to keep holding the phone when recording lengthy videos.
What I particularly like about this case, though, is that it has this big camera button, which makes it even easier to quickly launch the camera application and to snap photos. Nokia Lumia 1020 truly leads in the industry in terms of imaging prowess and this camera grip is definitely the perfect accessory or companion to this awesome handset.
TP Friends, here's a video that I recorded during the phone's media launch at Ayala Museum. It clip shows my exclusive one-on-one interview with Mr. Gary Chan, Nokia's Head of Marketing for PanAsia, where he explained in detail almost all the key selling-points and camera capabilities of Nokia Lumia 1020.
I think I already know which handset I need to get for myself this Christmas and for my upcoming 30th birthday on December 23! I love Nokia Lumia 1020! I called it "The Best Cameraphone in the World" during its initial announcement in New York last July 11, 2013 and up to this very day, I still believe that it stands alone, unrivaled in its category.
Holding The Best Cameraphone in the World Today! Nokia has always been the best cameraphone maker and the Nokia Lumia 1020 is a culmination of all the many years that the company has spent perfecting this craft.
